Manually picked from the tea estates around Mount Wuyi in scenic Fujian and hand-crafted in a very traditional fashion, our oolongs will bring to your home an experience reaching far beyond what people expect from Tea.

This eShop is operated by an enthusiast with passion for outstanding oolongs and other great teas. It offers a selection of amazing teas from one single tradidional cultivation area where small batches of an exquisite product are made in a family owned workshop. In the future though, you might find some additions of other exceptional tea varieties.

We cater to a whole range of tea drinking public. From those tired of the "old same" taste to palate explorers up to real tea experts who simply understand what quality means.

Our tea might not outright please some but with confidence we can say that one who has not tried a high grade Oolong has a lot to learn about the "real stuff". In particular the Cliff Tea (Yan Cha) varieties you will find in our shop. Come in and try!

It matters not wether you buy or only window-shop we hope you will enjoy this site.

Why Oolong...?

Oolong tea is made of partially oxidised tea leaves. The correct oriental name is Wu Long (Black Dragon) but the settled western identification goes with "oolong". Green tea is not oxidized at all while black tea is fully oxidized. Oolong stands inbetween those two categories leaning toward one or the other depending on the type. The specific tasete comes from the particular tea bush cultivar, from the site specific soil (terroir) and from the method of preparation such as level of oxidation or firing process etc.

Loose fragrant Tea leaves are what you will find in our shop

We believe in simplicity and enjoyment when it comes to preparing a tea cup. Simplicity in the rustic way of preparation opposed to the intricate ceremony of the East which is so beautiful but little practical for the modern urban life. Enjoyment in a direct contact with the leaf before, during and after steeping and indeed, enjoyment from the astonishing taste that well made Tea gives.

Tea is a journey

One could say Tea is shy. It usually does not come to you but you instead have to approach it. Tea does not tell you how to appreciate it but you need to take the first step by opening yourself up and then the Tea will guide you. Nobody knows where this journey leads yet, it is for certain, there will be much to see, taste and experience on the way.

Tea is not only a drink for those who allow it to become much more...
