Tea sold to tourists in Laos
Laos is just little known for its tea. Yes, they grow and produce good quality tea in the north of the country near the border with China's Yunnan province. In fact, apart from green and black tea, there is also some Pu-er made in Laos.
My simple assessment of the higher grade Lao tea will follow in one of the soon to come posts. This sharing is about (1) creating a bit of awareness about Laos as a tea producing country and (2) showing how creative souvenir-making can consumerize tea. The people selling it can tell you a lot about the pouch but have in-fact, no idea about the tea inside. Shouldn't it be the other way round?!
